Hi Temp!

A few weeks ago I found two dining chairs at Thrift Town with absolutely hideous upholstery on the seats and an awful finish on the wood. They were $15 for the pair and the friend I was there with thought I was out of my mind when I couldn't stop drooling over them and swooning about what a steal they were. I saw their potential. The shape of the chairs is amazing and the backs are cane. Cane!!! I LOVE me some cane!

So today, being my first free day in awhile, I started the makeover process. I didn't take a photo of the seats before I recovered them because the fabric would have made your eyes bleed. In a nutshell, forest green and burgundy, huge scaled, 90's ugly floral! Ick! I found some really great navy and white fabric for cheap and recovered the seats today. I am going to paint the chairs a crisp white hopefully this weekend. For the chairs, fabric and spray paint the cost came to a whopping $35. Awesome.

Here is my progress so far:

And a close up of the fabric:

Try to imagine the wood painted white because right now, they are still pretty sad looking. I'll help you!
